User Safety Policy
Policy title: User Safety Policy
Version: 1.0
Effective date: 31 October 2026
Last updated: 31 October 2026
Owner: Winart Limited
Status: Draft for in-app display. This is not a formal legal opinion and has not been approved by a lawyer.
Scope
This policy explains the safety tools that exist in the Winart application: report, block, room removal and mute where the server authorizes them, and escalation of child-safety and threat reports. It does not claim a 24-hour staffed safety team.
Tools you can use
- Report a user, profile, message context, voice room, or live stream. The report stores your authenticated user id, the target, a category or reason, details, and the status open. You cannot file a report as someone else.
- Block and unblock. A block is stored on your account. You can review it under Blocked Users. Another user cannot rewrite your block list.
- Mute and remove in a room. Voice-room mute and removal are sent as server actions for a member the room is allowed to moderate. A listener cannot grant themselves host powers on the device.
- Grievance. If you need a follow-up on safety, use the grievance form. It receives its own reference id.
What Winart does with a report
The report is not readable by other ordinary users. Clients cannot update or delete it. An authorized admin may move it to in review, resolved, or rejected and must leave an audit record. Sensitive evidence stays in the restricted record. It is not posted back into the room.
Child-safety and sexual-exploitation categories are not shown in a public feed. The Child Safety Policy describes the additional limits.
What this policy does not claim
This implementation does not verify a named trust-and-safety roster, a law-enforcement hotline, or a guaranteed review time. If those operations are created later, this policy must be updated and the version increased.
User responsibilities
Use reports in good faith. Do not use reports to harass a person you dislike. Leave a situation that feels unsafe. Do not publish someone else’s intimate images.
Winart responsibilities
Keep the report and block paths tied to the signed-in user, reject self-reports and cross-user edits, and avoid exposing private reports in the client.
Reporting and complaints
Categories include harassment, bullying, hate speech, sexual exploitation, child safety, scam, fraud, impersonation, threats, violence, spam, illegal content, and other. If a report cannot be saved, the app tells you it was not submitted. It does not show a fake success.
Enforcement
Confirmed breaches follow the Rules and Regulations. A credible severe report can justify an immediate restriction before a full review is finished. The restriction still needs a server-side authorization. It is not a client-only flag.
